The International Network of Critical Ultrasound (INCUS) was formalized in 2010. In 2015 INCUS was Integrated as a World Academic Council of Emergency Medicine Initiative. Professor Dr. Sanjeev Bhoi was appointed the Head of INCUS Worldwide.
The Seventy-Second World Health Assembly in 2019, recognized that an integrated emergency care system (ECS) provides an effective platform for the delivery of accessible, quality and time-sensitive healthcare services for acute illnesses and injuries throughout the life-course.
The world is moving through an era of different paradigms of primary, secondary and tertiary care from developing to developed nations.
